It’s Friday night and you are craving Chinese food, what is the first thing you are going to do? Pull out your phone and look up the best place to find ginger beef?  Whether you are looking for the best pub in town, or the best restaurant the first thing you’ll do is pick up the phone to see what looks good. When it comes to marketing your local restaurant, there is nothing more important than having a mobile responsive website and showing up on when someone is searching for restaurants near them. According to Yelp, 85% of consumers use the internet to find local businesses. What are they looking for? Well, another survey done by Chadwick Martin Bailey found that 80% of people want to see a menu before they eat at a restaurant. Having your menu online is a must as well as your phone number and address so people can find you.

Here are 2 great responsive website examples for local restaurants:

Maxwell’s Eatery

Maxwell’s Eatery is a great pub and restaurant in downtown Redding, CA. If you haven't been there yet, you are missing out. If you have been there chances are you seen somebody from JCI Marketing, as it’s unofficially known as our "Second office." The most important things we wanted include for this website, as it is with most restaurants, was the menu and contact information. The goal was to make everything easy to find for somebody searching on their phone. The menu function is very smooth holding lots of information and is easy to navigate through. We are proud of this site and happy to serve such a great restaurant in Redding.

Tantardinis-Responsive-Website-DesignTantardini’s Bakery Deli

Tantardini's European Bakery-Deli has some of the most beautiful and delicious European style food you can find. For this site we had our goals to make the menu and contact info easily available. Another one of the main things we wanted to do was showcase was the food. They have lots of beautiful photos that we used as a powerful way to show people what to expect and get people craving the food. In general, it’s a great idea for restaurants to invest in great photography. Not only does it look good on the website, but it also gets people an idea what to expect by showing the quality of the presentation.

Final Thoughts

Building your online reputation starts with a good website. Every restaurant needs to have a well-designed mobile responsive website. One of the primary ways people will find you is online through a Google search and without a website, you won't show up. Also, Review websites like Yelp are very important for restaurants to build a positive word of mouth advertising. If you are a restaurant owner and you are wondering what your next marketing investment should be, getting a mobile responsive website should be #1 on your list.
